内田光子さんがグラミー賞を獲りました

Mitsuto Uchida received a Grammy Award for Best Instrumental Soloist Performance. She is not as popular as Hiroko Nakamura and Fujiko Hemingway in Japan. However, all of the Japanese pianists and students who go to colleges of music admire her, because she is known as the best pianist in Japan by them, although few peopledidn't know her. She has not learned from a teacher. As a result, she can play the piano in her original style. She has a lot of concerts abroad and a good reputation across the world as a great pianist. She always plays it abroad, so Japanese people haven't had any chances how great her playing is.

Hiroko Nakamura and Hujiko Hemingway are known by almost allJapanese people but they are commercialized, especially Hujiko. Three or four years ago, there was a Japanese drama based on her life about how she overcame her ear trouble.  It’s a heartwarming drama and she became famous. However, I don’t think that she plays the piano well.

When I heard that Mitsuko Uchida received a Grammy Award, I was really glad that she has been accepted in Japan.
